Life Review and Ethical Wills – Spiritual Care Basics
November 2010

This workshop helps people write their own ethical Wills, wherein they can pass on their morals, values, and experiences to family and friends. These Wills consist of whatever you think is important to pass on to your family and friends after your death ~ some of our residents wrote stories of events which had changed their lives, some wrote messages about what they consider to be the most important things in life, some just wrote to say how grateful they were for the people in their lives. This is a very empowering experience.

Forgive For Good – Dr. Fred Luskin

Dr. Luskin is a professor at Stanford who does a lecture series which teaches people how to forgive for their own good and get on with their lives. We are currently negotiating to have him give a one-and-a-half hour presentation at Sunny View; the date will be posted here when finalized.

Gospel Concerts

The Center for Aging & Spirituality is looking into having a series of gospel concerts at Sunny View, featuring performers from various denominations throughout Santa Clara County and neighboring areas. More information on this will be posted as we solidify our plans. Anyone with any information about gospel groups should feel free to contact Carolyn at the Center for Aging & Spirituality, 408-454-5625.
